Balingup Future

In 2003, out of 270 national nominations, Balingup was announced as the WA State Winner of the ‘Can Do Community Awards’ for communities that have contributed to regional revitalisation, and produced own solutions to local issues. In winning this award, the Balingup Progress Association donated the $10,000 prize money to Western Australian Community Foundation to create the Balingup’s Future donation fund.
The Balingup’s Future donation fund provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses and groups to leave a lasting gift for the benefit of the local community today and for future generations.
Acorn Club To enhance the connectivity of our community, the Balingup Progress Association has established the Acorn Club.
To join the Acorn Club, an annual minimum gift of $50.00 to Western Australian Community Foundation to support the growth of the Balingup’s Future and vitality of our town is requested. As an Acorn Club member, you will:
-
be presented with a hand-made Acorn Club badge, cast in bronze, for you to wear proudly as a supporter of your community;
-
be invited to annual local community social activities;
-
be kept informed of local initiatives and activities.
How Grants Are Made Western Australian Community Foundation, as Trustee of Balingup’s Future, oversees all compliance and governance requirements and administration of the grants program. Groups wishing to access funds will be required to follow a formal grant application process.
Ways to Give Donations to Balingup’s Future will help support local community projects and activities which demonstrate a contribution to the enhancement, well-being and sustainability of our community.
Western Australian Community Foundation can accept both tax-deductible donations and non-tax deductible gifts from individuals, businesses, government or community organisations. Individuals may also choose to make arrangements to leave a bequest, ensuring the value of the gift is preserved in perpetuity, delivering benefits to the community for years to come.
Donations and gifts are accepted and managed; the income earned is then used to provide a reliable and regular source of funds for charitable grants within the community.
