Westcare Disabled Employment and Accommodation

About Us

Westcare Inc is a charitable organisation that exists to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and to assist with their integration into the community. We have been serving the community for almost 60 years.

Westcare Industries provides employment support and training in printing, cardboard box making, box covering, industrial packaging, food packaging and safety goods manufacturing.

Westcare Accommodation Services is committed to supporting and training working-age people with disabilities to live an independent life in society. Service options are available, from fully serviced accommodation to independent living training programs. Each service offers positive encouragement in a caring environment.

The village and its other divisions meet standards generally expected by people living in the community, and meet the Disability Services Standards.

In Our Community

Westcare is a non-profit organisation. Although we have a number of successful businesses and are supported by grants, we rely significantly on donations from the public to carry on our activities. Your donation is in good hands and we would like to tell you why.

If sustainable development is about ensuring a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come, Westcare is an excellent exponent of this principle.

Westcare Industries focuses on being profitable but not at the expense of the people with disabilities we employ. We have a very strong work ethos and our people are paid according to their abilities. They are supervised only to the extent needed to ensure they are properly trained to be both useful and productive – from which they derive strong social benefits.

Westcare has been in business for almost 60 years and has been changing constantly. The rate of change in recent times is probably more rapid than it has ever been as we seek to provide disability employment that is more relevant to modern ideals.

We aim to be commercially competitive in price, quality and service in everything we do. This is what drives us to be better employers for the benefit of the organisation's sustainability and the people we employ.

What Your Donation Can Do

We would like to congratulate all who have supported Westcare over the past 50 years. Here is what your donation can achieve:
  • $250 can train a person with a disability at Westcare Industries for a week
  • $500  can employ two people with a disability at Westcare Industries for a month
  • $1000+  can provide accommodation for a person with a disability for a month.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
