Womens and Families Health Services

About Us
Women’s Health Care Association was formed in 1977, with the primary aim of providing quality health care to socially disadvantaged women in Western Australia.
Our mission is to create opportunities for women and their families to improve their own and the community’s health and well being.
Nearly 30 years on, services for women, and their families have been broadened and expanded to respond to the changing needs and diversity of women across Western Australia. Services are provided by, for and with women.
In 2005 women from over 60 nationalities and all age groups, accessed our services, the result being over 45,000 individual and group sessions. 200 women from 20 rural locations participated in the 2005 Tele health promotion series.
Our services include:
-
Medical GP clinics, well woman services and counselling
-
Mental health community support program for women with a mental illness who have children
- Intergenerational Aboriginal Grandparents Family Support Service

NEW BUILDING FUND
WHS need to raise $500,000 to achieve the dream of having a purpose built health services centre for our staff and the women and families who access our services.
Your donation will help us make this dream a reality. Your support is appreciated and will be acknowledged in the new centre.
A block of land has been secured for this development, located on Newcastle Street in Northbridge and an application for a capital grant towards the building of a new centre has been submitted to Lotterywest.
SPONSOR A SERVICE OR PROGRAM
We are a credible and well respected not for profit agency that is reliant on government funding to deliver a diverse range of services. However, government funding is never enough to meet the identified and emerging needs of women and their families.
So we are seeking donations and sponsorship of programs and services. For example, we need ongoing funding:
